In the recent past, there has been some conflict in the medical community about the true definition of Hypertension and the safety of previously taught blood pressure ranges . Traditionally, high blood pressure was thought to be at and over 140/90, prehypertension was 130/80 and normal blood pressure was at or just below 110/70 to 120/79.
