POLITICATE
A timeless view on the ignorance and negligence of lawmakers:

Crowded in a crowded room I find the voice to speak
Here stand I, the voice of some
who would never seek
action or sanctions or help for themselves
because they are the meek
Stand tall and listen, those who hold
the power to change a life
You war so forcefully to ignore the poor
and lend no ear to strife
Caused by your laws that chain a man
to a past that gives no light
To the generations that should lay a claim
to progress, thought and forward sight
Silenced by the laws you wave
In the faces of the silent peoples
No one, but many, who oppose your ways
Will rend these days a vanquished mem’ry
To stand once more in front, not behind,
all these cherished steeples
And, after all the time you’ve had
to make good on campaign creeds,
you just sit back and snuggle your crown and drown your opportunities
in fascist lies and greed
Then mark the day, your reign will end
For the people still have a say.
We aren’t ignorant as you believe and
You
Won’t
Get away
With ANY of this.
